Principal's Message
We had a fantastic week of learning as well as a celebration of scholars with our Fall Festival. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported because our scholars and families had a blast! We also want to send a special shout out to our grade level team costume winners...first and second! Woo Hoo...you have earned two free jeans passes from Rokicki! Also, I will be continuing my listening party this Friday. Please sign up if you didn't get a chance to last week. It was great to connect with those that stopped by and for me to get some dedicated principal face to face time in with my amazing staff!

School Wide Focus
Priority #2 - No Opt Out Academics
As we delve into this priority, our current target areas are WDMs and AgMo. During Friday PD we worked on the first key components of AgMo: exemplar in hand and announcing your laps. Keep the following in mind as your prep this week:
Check your high scholars first
Get to every scholar in 1 minute or less
End in a place where you can see every scholar
Deans of Academics
*Update* Progress Monitoring: Scholars who are in Tier 3 RTI need to be progress monitored EVERY week starting this week. You should use your RTI time to progress monitor.
The updated schedule will look like this:
11/1- Progress Monitor Tier 3 Scholars
11/8-Progress Monitor Tier 2 & 3 Scholars
11/14- Progress Monitor Tier 3 Scholars
Etc…
Aggressive Monitoring: This week as we observe, we will be checking that you have your exemplar in hand, are walking your self created pathways, and announcing your procedural and conceptual laps.
Weekly Data Meetings: Kindergarten has their WDM on Tuesday during planning. Please have your grades entered by EOD Sunday and your exit tickets turned into Ayana’s desk by EOD Monday.
Dean of Culture
As we get ready to welcome the month of November let’s revisit the goals and focus areas we set in August:
100%: 100% compliance, 100% of the time, 100% of the way is the expectation because it fulfills the promise that we believe in the achievement of all scholars!
Radar - Be Seen Looking, be aware of the misbehaviors that are happening, figure out the source of the behavior, and decide on the best teacher move up and down the ladder to correct it.
Least Invasive Form of Intervention - Assume the best, decrease the amount of air time you give to broken expectations, use strong silent hand signals to reinforce expectations, and then move up the ladder.
Non-Verbal Intervention
Positive Group Correction
Anonymous Individual Correction
Private Individual Correction
Issue Glows and Grows at a ratio at or above 3:1

Dean of SEL
Over the next two weeks, we will be focusing on good versus bad secrets, and tattling versus reporting. Good secrets are surprises that make you happy, like parties or gifts. Bad secrets are secrets that people make you keep but can hurt someone. We will discuss examples and use our trusted triangle to report bad secrets!
Thank you to everyone for your participation and joyful attitudes during Fall Festival! I can't wait to make next year even better!
LIM Habit: Synergize. Work together, and support others when they are succeeding. Help others when they are facing a challenge.

Teacher of the Week
Thank you for exhibiting the core value of TEAMWORK! When I think of the word GREAT. I think of something or someone that goes above and beyond. Tori is the definition of someone that goes above and beyond. She is always willing to help out whenever, wherever doing whatever is needed. She has such a passion for what she does and is great at not only building relationships with students and families but her peers as well. (always making sure everyone is ok). I have so much respect for her position as well as her as a person. You are appreciated.
