At 3:15, we will begin pickup dismissal with iDismiss for all grades. If you are picking up your child, please display your placard so staff can clearly see your number. (Placard pick up will be scheduled prior to the start of school. Please note that ALL students who are drop off and pick up will be receiving new placards with new numbers. Bus riders will not receive placards.)
Walkers will exit through door 2. Please have your placard with you.
At 3:15 we will begin bus dismissal. If your child rides the bus, please ensure that someone is at the bus stop to greet your child in the afternoon.
Transportation
- No changes in transportation are allowed. If there is a discrepancy from the bus tag to our dismissal records on day one, we will contact you to verify the correct information on the first day of school. Please be sure to answer your phone or return our call before the start of dismissal.
Absences
The following scenarios will be marked as absences. Your child may access the Google Classroom at your discretion.
- Vacations
- Illness not related to COVID
- Family Opted to take Child Out of School
COVID Related Absences
Students who need to quarantine will be provided with asynchronous distance learning. All teachers grades K-12 are prepared to have daily assignments and accompanying materials available for students on a regular basis. If an entire class is asked to quarantine, synchronous learning will be available to the entire class. Teachers will be sharing login procedures with students and families. It is important that your child is familiar with Google Classroom and how to access the necessary lessons. This will make for an easy transition if your child is asked to quarantine.
Health Information
Any health related concerns should be discussed with our school nurse, Mrs. Alex Doty. dotya@portsmouthschoolsri.org
