Parent Liaison Information (GET INVOLVED) PARENT INVOLVEMENT MATTERS!

PT PIRATE CARES!
This year I would like to collaborate with the community of those who are eager to help others in times of need. I would like to create the PT Pirates Care program. We will compile a list of families interested in offering assistance to others in our school community throughout the school year. As needs arise I will reach out to the group. Your help would be requested periodically in such ways as purchasing/donating an item, providing holiday gifts, spreading the word on clothing and food drives, or donating a service. When assistance is needed, an email will be sent to the group explaining the need and each member can respond if able to help at that time. All information remains confidential in respect of the families being assisted. Please contact me directly if you would like to be a part of this group. mchism@ptisd.org

KLONDIKE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Klondike Leadership Academy through Healthcare Express provides a leadership program for students in grades Kinder-5th. I will facilitate the curriculum program on the campuses that I serve. This is a great program that offers incentives and rewards to the students who participate. For more information please contact me.

WATCH D.O.G.S. (MALE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED)
WATCH D.O.G.S. is a program that is not new to our district. We are in need of some positive male role models. I will be involved in helping rebuild this program at our Primary campus. We need volunteers for all our campuses. If you are interested in learning more about how to get involved with this program please contact me.

RAISING HIGHLY CAPABLE KIDS
Raising Highly Capable Kids is a 13-week curriculum that is based on the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets. Search Institute has undertaken decades of research with more than 5 million children and found that there are 40 building blocks every child needs to grow and mature. And the more of these Assets a child has in his or her life, the more likely he or she is to engage in healthy behaviors while veering away from those that unhealthy.. If you're interested in joining this program please contact me. CUTOFF DATE TO JOIN.

Attendance Tips

School days are based on minutes not days. We want your child to have the best quality education. In order to ensure that your child receives the best education we need your help. When your child is late, tardy or picked-up early they are missing quality learning time. It is important that you get your child to school on time. Doors open at 7:05 - 7:35. You can either drop them off in the office or drive through the car line. Bus transportation is available if you would like your child to ride the bus. Only our campus PK & K ride our buses. If your child is out because of a doctor’s visit please bring the excuse so we can excuse the absence.

Only 3 parent note’s will be excused per semester either handwritten or via email. All others will be counted unexcused.

Your child will receive after school detention if they have 3 tardies, 3 unexcused absences or the child has been signed out early 5 times.
