Principal's Message

Dear Falcon students and families,

I hope you all had an awesome weekend! This past week, and more importantly the weekend, saw us celebrating some amazing Bev Facey graduates! The week started with our fantastic students experiencing a number of fun, Grad Week inspired theme days, and I was so impressed with our Grade 12s and their buy in on these unifying days. The Graduation ceremony on Saturday was fantastic and held testament to our incredible Bev Facey graduates. Beginning with the amazing job done by our Mistress and Master of Ceremonies, and the wonderful singing of the anthem. They also never failed to deliver as the ceremony continued. As a group they spoke eloquently and with style when called upon in their response to our staff, their parents, and in the wonderful valedictorian address. It was easy to see how brilliant they are as a graduating cohort. I am so proud of this group and the things that they have accomplished.

This continued to be evident as they joined us back at our the school for the "Facey Formal," where they celebrated as a group with family and friends on the dance floor, and in congratulating those peers who were voted for in the 2023 Facey Formal Grad Choice Awards. It was an amazing night that was made even better by this impressive Grad class's incredible support for one another. I was incredibly proud and privileged to be a part of this year's graduating class's events and celebrations.

On that note, I hope you all have an excellent Sunday evening and a fantastic week, and, as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Bev Facey School Council Staff Appreciation Event 2023

Wednesday, June 7th, 3:15-5pm

99 Colwill Boulevard

Sherwood Park, AB

Dear Parents & Guardians,

On Wednesday June 7, 2023, Bev Facey School Council is hosting our Staff Appreciation event. This has historically been an annual event, and this year our school council will continue the tradition. It's a great opportunity for our Facey families to recognize ALL staff for their work, care and dedication to our children, and we know that many families would like to contribute to the success of this event.

Historically, Staff Appreciation has included a luncheon of donated food items to be enjoyed at the final staff meeting of the school year. As well, in the past there have been donations of items used as door prizes. This year we are happy to report that we will be putting on a BBQ for the staff after the staff meeting on Wednesday, June 7.

We will be accepting monetary donations which Pam Smith (our School Council Staff Appreciation Leader) will use to purchase food items for the BBQ. If you are interested in making a donation, gift cards and monies will be gratefully accepted in the front office. If you place it in an envelope with your email address, I can send you an email confirmation of receipt of your donation. As well we can accept e-transfers to pammysmith94@gmail.com and send confirmation. Please make a note in your etransfer that it is for Staff Appreciation and include your first and last name. Any questions please reach out to Pam Smith.

If you would like to be a part of this wonderful day and help volunteer, please email Pam Smith for more information on how you can help.
