At the university of Minnesota center for robotics for the defense and advanced research project and agency. They made about 4,000 throwable tactical bots that are manly use in 700 federal law enforcement.

The Bayonet Mount – Throwbot XT, or the Recon Scout XT is a simple, lightweight device that enables warfighters to see around a corner or over a wall without dropping their weapon. Or putting themselves in the line of fire. By Using the Bayonet Mount. Warfighters can attach any Throwbot to their M4 or M16 rifle,and then use it as a pole camera to gain immediate situational awareness. The Bayonet Mount will not interfere with operation of the rifle, and the robot snaps on and off in one simple motion that requires no tools.
