Winter Is Here!
What a beautiful time to live in our Rocky Mountain paradise! Fun fact~ We now have 68 1/2 days left of school, that includes days off and Spring Break! That may make many of you think-Where has the time gone? We hope that you can slow down a bit and cherish the quality time winter activities can bring. Skiing, sledding, ice skating, snowball fights or cozy game nights indoors. Whatever you choose, make sure to turn off your phones, TV's and other devices and tune into your child! Children need high-quality time with their parents and caregivers- that is what is most beneficial to children and what can have a positive effect on them as they grow. It isn't about endless hours of time-it's about how you choose to spend that time that truly matters.

- "We need a lot of hero's in our world."
- "Let's think about how you can make that happen."
We hope our students are prepared for any and all careers paths they choose. So bring on the superheros, acrobats, journalists, movie stars and architects! We're ready for you!
4th Annual Mountain Festival Is Coming!
Goals of the Estes Park Mountain Festival include:
1. Educate future generations about the importance of responsible land stewardship
2. Celebrate our cultural heritage in the Estes Valley
3. Learn new skills, access information, and gather resources from each other
On this day all elementary school age children and some middle and high school classes will participate in a wide variety of hands on learning activities. Stay tuned for more information and details to come, but in the meantime, SAVE THE DATE if you would like to volunteer or attend the fest with your child.
Bridges Math Curriculum Has Parent Resources
By now most parents should know that the Elementary School has adopted a new math curriculum this year called Bridges. We have hosted a family math night and parent math night in order to share information about these changes. We want parents to be informed as to why we chose this curriculum and how to support your student's learning at home. If you are wanting more tools to help your student please talk with your child's classroom teacher first. There are also some great parent resources on the Bridges website: https://www.mathlearningcenter.org/families/bridges2
In addition to those resources, parents can access some free math aps supported by Bridges which you can find here: https://www.mathlearningcenter.org/resources/apps
