Family Reading Night- Buy

Wednesday, March 2nd from 5:30- 7:00 p.m. in the library! Book fair will open at 5:30 and our reading night at 6:00 p.m. Please join us for our first live Family Reading Night in two years! We highly encourage pajamas, pillows, stuffed animals, and of course masks! The book fair will be open at this time as well.

Parents and Pastries

All family members are invited to come grab a cup of coffee and doughnuts while shopping at the book fair with their children on Wednesday, March 2nd from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m.

Teacher Wish Lists

We will have the ever popular “Teacher Wish List'' available again. When you visit the book fair, you will see books the teachers would like to receive for their classrooms. Please consider buying a book for teachers in order to help build their classroom libraries.

Donate Books

During the book fair we will collect gently used books for our sister school, Dover Elementary in San Pablo. This is a wonderful way to encourage your children to give back!

As always, our Scholastic Book Fair promises to be a great event to support the Alamo PTA and your family’s love of reading. We hope to see everyone there!

Volunteers needed: We have an immediate need for a ThinkWorks Director in order to continue to have classes this Spring/Summer! Please email Lauren Cymerys at alamo.edfund@srvef.org if you would like additional information on this position and what it entails. Serving on the board is a great way to help the school and your student(s), get a behind-the-scenes look at how decisions are made, and meet other dedicated and involved parents at Alamo!

Our retail giveback programs are free to join and easy to use. We appreciate you supporting us through your regular shopping trips. From Shutterfly to FlipGive, Amazon to produce deliveries and more, there couldn’t be an easier way to support the important programs and personnel we have at Alamo School! See below for a few additional options.

5 Little Monkeys toy store giveback: Shop March 1-15 and Five Little Monkeys will donate 15% of the pre-tax total back to the Ed Fund. Use code ALAMO22 for in-store or online purchases. We must have a minimum of 3 shoppers or $200 in sales to qualify. They have 6 Bay Area stores, so share the code with any local family members or friends! See here for details.

GrowFit Camps: GrowFit Multi-Sports Day Camp at East Bay Sports will donate 10% of every Spring or Summer camp purchase when you use the discount code ALAMO2022 at checkout. See here for details.

Sports Basement: It’s time for spring skiing and youth sports seasons! If you shop at Sports Basement and join their Basementeer program, you receive 10% off your order and 10% goes back to the charity of your choice. Select “Alamo Elementary-Alamo-SRVEF” to benefit the Alamo Education Fund!

Amazon Wish Lists: Don’t forget to check out our Amazon Wish List for items our teachers would like in their classrooms! There are lots of items listed for Beem/Bohannan, Johnson, Fettig, Mayer and Pavon/3rd grade team.

We need your help at lunchtime! Alamo needs your help in making sure our kids are having a fun, friendly, and well-supervised lunch recess. Volunteering for yard duty is a great way for your child to see you helping out at school and a great way for you to see them in their element. Please consider giving less than an hour of your day by signing up here.
