Mrs. Inman's Happenings
A homework folder will no longer be sent home. I want your child focusing on reading! A reading log will be sent home in the binder. Once the reading log is complete, I will send home a new one. Remember, If your child reads four nights out of the week and it is signed on their reading log, they will be able to get treasure box.
*Continue working on the Six Flags Reading Log. It is due February 22nd.
Dreambox: We will be encouraging students to complete at least 5 lessons a week on Dreambox. We will be working on this in class; however, any help you can give at home is very much appreciated.
Classroom Wish List
- Treasure Box Items
- We play on the field several days a week during recess. It would be wonderful if we could get some kickballs, footballs, frisbees, hula hoops, etc. for our recess time.
January 21- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School)
Each week we teach the children strategies to support their independent reading.
This week the students will learn that: " Readers get help when they need it." and "Readers think about the story to solve hard words." As you read with your child in the evening, encourage them to use some of the strategies they are learning at school.
This week's phonics skill is /oo/ as in book.
Students will continue working through module 3 on measurement and graphing.
