Hawks' Squawks
Hutchison High School Bulletin (Apr 24)
Hutchison Auto takes 2nd place at Ford/AAA State Auto Competition
The Ford/AAA competition mimics a real shop environment. Students receive a car that is "bugged" and must be diagnosed and repaired in only 90 minutes. Denali Maggard and Cole Davis finished their vehicle in about 80 minutes for 2nd place, narrowly missing first place.
Both students also won the Team High Score for the written exam taken a month prior to the competition. Both received tools, models, clothing, and $5000-$7500 scholarships to UAA, Ohio State, and Universal Technical Institute. It took 1 large suitcase, 2 large duffel-bags, and a large box to bring home all their prizes!
