Tutoring -several opportunities
2. New Partnership with Indiana University A new opportunity for student support made possible by a partnership between SHS, Indiana University, and the Serve Indiana grant. Starting immediately, students have access to online tutoring by Indiana University students at campuses throughout the state. Students will be required to register with the IU system, which will allow them to create a ZOOM account (the delivery platform for tutoring.) IU students will staff the tutoring service on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 6-9:30. An additional feature will be bilingual tutoring services, which are available on those nights from 7-9:30pm. More details can be found on the attached flyer. The focus of the online tutoring support will be the core areas of Math, Science, English, and Social Studies. 3. In addition to the online supports that are currently available, we are in the process of creating a face-to-face tutoring program that will offer supports before and after school here at SHS, as well as a couple of evening opportunities at the Huntingburg Public Library. It is anticipated that this program will start in early February. More details to come.
