Required First Year Student Program | True to Life: It IS My Place

Through the use of theater and audience participation, “It IS My Place”, tackles the difficult topics of sexual violence, drugs and alcohol and bias incidents. The program equips students with the tools to recognize problematic situations and identify intervention strategies.
Attendance will be taken.
Students should bring their One Cards.

The WSU CityLab is bringing the Manhattan Short Film Festival to campus this year for a free showing to WSU students. It's a pretty cool event. There are 9 short films shown in hundreds of venues worldwide on 6 continents simultaneously. Viewers vote for their favorite movies and actors. All the ballots get tallied in NYC and the winners are later announced.

Need to take a Global Perspectives or US and the World LASC course? Then PH 241-BL/HI 250-BL: Genocide and Human Rights might just be for you.
This course is a hybrid, with five in-class sessions at the beginning of each unit of study and five online discussions and related activities. The classes run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on the following Tuesdays: 9/11, 9/25, 10/16, 11/6, and 11/26. All other aspects of the course are online. Please note that this is an "evening" or DGCE course, which means that it could entail separate costs depending on your status at Worcester State.
