Ruby Rocks Project
Friday, May 10, 2019
This Friday, May 10th, our students will be painting Ruby Rocks. These rocks are to honor and show our love and support for Ruby Rose Azevedo, a Grant kindergarten student who passed away on March 4th of this year. Ruby's vibrant smile and spirit is greatly missed by all and we thought it would be nice for students to be able to paint a rock and show their love, friendship, and support for Ruby, her brother Dante, her parents Todd and Vanessa, and our terrific yard duty and Ruby's grandmother, Sarah. The kids will paint their own individual Ruby Rock and once these rocks are dry and ready, the children will be able to take their rock home and put them in a special place, whether that be their own garden, a special park or walking path, or even on a family vacation. The Azevedo's are so excited to see where the rocks will be and are happy that Ruby's spirit will be spread all over. Pictures of the Ruby Rocks can be uploaded on Instagram to #Ruby_Rose_Rocks.
