MS Accelerated Math
Identified students should continue working in their ALEKS Math 6 accounts to prepare for the placement test in March. They should also be working in their special Math 7 accounts to prepare them for the 7th grade content portion of the placement test.
Each building will choose the date(s) to test in March.
Teachers may also recommend students. Please see this link.

HS PD Opportunity / Department Chair Info
Department chair meetings run from 3:30pm - 5:30pm, usually the 3rd Wednesday of each month (see dates at right).
Our next meeting will be held on January 23 at 3700 S. High St. Room 129.
This meeting will be open to all high school math teachers (not just department chairs). We will be presenting on Visible Learning and High Impact Strategies for HS math teachers. Participants will receive a copy of the book "Teaching Mathematics in the Visible Learning Classroom" and 0.2 CEUs.
To ensure we have enough space and copies of the book, please register at the link below.
Note: Department chairs are not required to sign up.
MS Math Curriculum Liaisons
For the last two years we have offered a MS Content Expert program. This year we have decided to return to a previous format where we had one teacher from each building serve as a contact between our office and his/her school. This is for ELA and Math only.
Already sign up? Interested in hosting our first meeting?
As our new office is not yet ready, we may hold our first meeting at one of our middle schools. If interested in hosting, please let Steve know. We expect around 30 teachers.
Equatio Pilot
Equatio is free for all teachers but costs for students to use. We are looking for 5-10 middle and high schools (or individual teachers) interested in piloting Equatio with their classes. Participant will have the opportunity to attend a webinar being planned for records day (January 16th).
Please email Steve if you are interested.
