Immunology
Immunology is the branch of biomedical science that deals with the response of an organism to antigenic challenge. It deals with the defence mechanisms including all physical, chemical and biological properties of the organism that help it to fight its susceptibility to foreign organisms.
Infection
Infection insights into the interactions between bacterial, fungal and parasitic pathogens and their hosts. Specific areas of interest include mechanisms of molecular pathogenesis, virulence factors, cellular microbiology, experimental models of infection, host resistance or susceptibility, and the generation of innate and adaptive immune responses.
