Music Notes
Spring 2017
Spring is finally here! Our students are singing, dancing, and playing their way to warmer weather. Our Kindergarten & First Grade students are preparing for their program "Where the Wild Things Are" coming up on June 1st. Second & Third Graders performed a show "The Music of America." Fourth Graders are working to improve the quality of their music by identifying successful music making strategies while playing in a large ensemble. Fifth Graders are learning more about the orchestra and sound production from UVA Orchestra guest musicians. Select fifth grade students attended Albemarle County Honors Choir to perform in a concert with 150 students from other schools in Albemarle County. Additionally, all Crozet students attended the program "Rhythms 'Round Virginia" to learn about and listen to a variety of folk instruments in Virginia's History. Our Drama Club is preparing for their production of The Jungle Book coming up on Friday, April 28th. Crozet also hosted a Community Night with folk dancing in the music room. Below are highlights of our learning:
