Charlestown School Updates
For members of our learning community - August 17th, 2018
Happy 2 more weeks of Summer!
School Supplies and Snacks
We have a limited number of donated backpacks. Please email Mrs. Coulson if your child needs one.
All students need a snack to each each day (either in the morning for grades 3-4 or for the afternoon in grades K-2). Some classrooms are designated Peanut/Treenut Free. In these rooms, only nut free snacks are allowed due to severe student allergies. You will be notified by a letter from Mrs. Coulson if your child is in a nut free class.
Please also remember that we have members in our learning community with Severe allergies to Latex and Peppermint. Therefore, we do not allow latex toys, balloons or mint candies or gum without prior approval from Mrs. Poore.
Parent To Do List before School Begins
- Help your child to get back on a school day sleep schedule
- Determine if your child will bring or buy lunch
- Remember to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Form if your child may qualify
- Review the bus schedules once they are published
- Select first day of school clothing and footwear. FlipFlops and Sandals aren't recommended. Sneakers are preferred as all all students have recess daily and PE twice each week.
Class Placement
Class placement letters were mailed home to families. Students in grades 1-4 may also have a different grade level teacher for daily reading instruction.
Moving?
Per state law, we can not forward your child's records until you have registered them at their new school.
Bussing Information - Annual Registration is OVERDUE!
Routes will be published on the district website in August. We'll keep you posted.
