Frosty Class Photos
Dear Elementary Parents,
Next week each elementary class will take a fun, wintery photo as a whole group by our blow-up snowman outside the cafeteria. This includes ALL elementary students Pre-K through 5th grade.
We will pose each class one at a time so we can develop the photos in time to put them in individual frames to be decorated during our Elementary Winter Celebration. We want to really convey that we’re having a frosty good time, so please send your child to school with a big winter coat, scarf, mittens, hat, etc. Thanks so much for your help and we promise the end result will be one VERY adorable photo!
Frosty Photo Date- Wednesday, December 9th- Students in Pre-K through 5th grade. Photos will be taken one class at a time beginning at 8:30 am.
December Charity Drive
Together we can help.
It is an awful truth that many people, even in our community, are victims of violence. Often times these people seek help from local organizations. Family Haven, an organization in Forsyth County, offers safe shelter and needed items, for free to those in need. We can help them help others, by donating. Cold winter weather is quickly approaching. Many people are in need of warm gloves and socks.
Make a difference in someone’s life. Be kind and generous and bring in one or more pair of gloves and/or socks.
Your donations can be dropped off at the front office or your child can give them to his/her homeroom teacher.
We will accept donations until December 16th.
Winter Celebration
Dear Elementary Parents,
The Elementary Teachers and FSAPS PVO Room Parents are pleased to announce the plans for the 4th Annual FSAPS Elementary Winter Celebration! All students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade can look forward to an action-packed day of winter crafts, games, activities, prizes, and treats on Thursday, December 14th. Read on to learn more…
How will this event be organized?
Pre-K through 3rd grade- As it has in the past, students will rotate as a class from room to room of fun activities for the ENTIRE school day! From Karaoke to Snowman Games, Snow Science and crafts galore- this event has something fun around every corner. Every 30 minutes the students will be led by their teacher to another classroom to participate in the thematic activities that room has to offer. With just a break for lunch, 30 minutes of a wintery movie and a candy cane- their day will be non-stop fun.
How can I help?
Many materials and items have already been ordered by the school, but we definitely need more donations from our families. Also, every elementary staff member will be on hand to circulate throughout the activities with their class and make sure this day is successful and fun for everyone. Parent volunteers though are welcome and encouraged! We need volunteers for everything from running activity rooms during the event, helping out during the lunch period, and cleaning up. I can only imagine the excitement this year’s celebration will bring… come be a part of the fun!!!
Please see the sign-up genius link below.
I want to donate materials or I can give a $10 monetary donation to help with items purchased by the school.
