What do food preps do?
Food preparation workers perform many routine tasks under their supervisors. This includes chefs, and kitchen managers. Food prep workers prepare cold foods, slice meat, peel and cut vegetables, brew coffee or tea, and perform many other food service to have the food ready before the restaurant is open or to make sure something does not run out.
Work Environment
Usually employed in restaurants, hotels, and other places where food is served. They often work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or holidays.
How To Become a Food Prep
Food preparation workers learn their skills by training in the job place . No education is needed and can even be less than high school education.
