Reflections from Ms. Perkins

WBMS Parents and Guardians –

Our week was filled with cumulative finals, projects, unit tests, and some fun! Thank you to all our grandparents who joined us this morning for our grandparent breakfast; the gigantic smiles, laughter, and snuggles brought an extra special delight to our school. Also, thank you to our BETA club for sponsoring the event and our fine arts students who entertained the crowd and shared their musical gifts. It was quite a show!

The giving spirit is alive and well at WBMS. Our Student Council collected many presents and approximately $200.00 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on Wednesday for our PJ day, and our 7th grade students sent $2,283.66 to Save the Children from their Desktop Stores event.

It’s been a full semester! I am proud of our students’ hard work and growth and thankful for your support! I wish you all a restful and fun-filled winter break!

Digital Reading Options

Many of our WBMS students were excited about checking out 10 books from the media center for the holidays. If your student (or family) is looking for digital reading options over break, remember that eBooks and digital audiobooks are available to students with their student ID and password. Fulton County Schools recently added the Sora app for OverDrive books and MackinReader is also available. Anyone (student or adult) with a Fulton County Public Library card (or number) can access OverDrive, Hoopla, and other online resources. Enjoy reading and listening for fun over winter break!!
