IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CANVAS AND INFINITE CAMPUS GRADEBOOKS
As you are likely aware, the online learning environment has required many aspects of our traditional educational model to evolve. Managing, grading, and reporting student academic progress are examples of areas that have been substantially modified this school year. In order to support these areas, TVUSD is implementing the Canvas and Infinite Campus learning management systems. As you have supported your student this semester, you have undoubtedly noticed that both of these systems utilize an active digital gradebook. It is important to understand that these two gradebooks serve different purposes and therefore will likely not be aligned in a few important ways.
The following information is useful in understanding how these gradebooks report student academic progress. Click on the picture for access to the document below.
INFINITE CAMPUS ACCESS
Please make sure to continue checking IC. We have progress reports grades coming soon, and teachers are working to update their grades in IC.
CANVAS PARENT ACCOUNT INFORMATION & ACCESS
The following links give parents and guardians all they need to create a parent account within Canvas and to link that account to a student account. These links are also on our district parent tech support page. We hope our DMS parents find these links useful in supporting student work.
