Lunch in Schools

We are delighted that next week we will be part of the Ka Ora, Ka Ako healthy school lunches programme.

This means that ALL our students will be receiving FREE lunches every school day.

The programme is starting in next week on Tuesday 9 February.

They will still need to bring their morning tea, but lunch is provided for all students.

There will be many questions for yourselves and your child about the menu and how it will be implemented and we are currently working with the Ministry of Education and Compass Group Food Services to get you this information.

If you haven't already done so, please inform the office if your child has any special dietary requirements. Lactose intolerant? Vegetarian? Halal? Nut allergy? Allergic to eggs? Anything at all?

If your child has any dietary requirements, please email office@puketapu.school.nz

Hats and Togs

Summer has definitely arrived and every student must have a sun hat with them every day.

Mr Quince has been working hard over the break to get our pool ready so we will be able to enjoy swimming at school. Learning Teams have a roster of swimming times and days and there will be some lunch time and after school swims as well. Children should bring their togs and towel every day so we can make the most of our swimming.

Thank you

We are lucky to have such generous people in our community.

Making Contact with your Teacher

For any questions concerning your child, their homeroom teacher is your first point of contact.

Please bear in mind that immediately before school is usually not the best time to start a conversation and many teachers have duties and team responsibilities immediately after school, so please arrange a suitable time to meet to discuss things.

Call or email the office at any time - we will always do our best to help.

Superstars

Wow! Day 1 and we already have Superstars!
