Jordan/Jackson News You Can Use
March 22, 2023
THIS WEEKEND - MARCH 24 AND MARCH 25
J/J ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 5TH GRADERS AND MISS STEINBACH
REQUEST THE PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY
AT THEIR PERFORMANCE OF DEAR EDWINA JR.
Friday, March 24 @ 7pm and Saturday, March 25 @ 1pm & 7pm
Mansfield High School Auditorium
Tickets can be purchased at the door before each performance for $7.00 (cash or check)
Dear Edwina JR. follows the adventures of a thirteen-year-old advice columnist and problem-solver named Edwina, who dishes out advice and wisdom with the help of her friends and a little song and dance. Edwina Spoonapple would do just about anything to be a part of the Kalamazoo Advice-A-Palooza Festival. While her siblings all have proof “up on the fridge” of their accomplishments, poor Edwina has nothing. When a talent scout from the festival visits her hometown of Paw Paw, Michigan, she trots out her musical advice-giving show live from the family garage in hopes of finding her place in the spotlight.
Dear Edwina JR. is a heartwarming show featuring witty musical lessons exploring courtesy and politeness that will have you laughing out loud. At the heart of all this fun is a wonderful message about the importance of how we treat each other and love ourselves.
We look forward to seeing you in the audiences cheering on these 60 talented kids!

We will accept any exam done after January 2023 (second half of 3rd grade and any exam taking place during the 4th grade year). Please send a copy to your school nurses’ office after the exam takes place. If your child is due for a physical, please schedule this as soon as possible.

Watercolor Art
Did you know that the blue whale can grow to more than 100 feet long and can weigh as much as 30 elephants?! Grade 5 students recently completed mixed-media collages in Mrs. Kanevski's art class. Artists repurposed discarded books into bold whales. Watercolors and colored pencils provided a colorful space for these inspiring marine mammals.
