A message from Mrs. Todd
Thank you to all of the staff for making the Trick or Treat a success. We loved seeing all the faces and costumes from 6 feet away with masks.
Just like that, it is November. We are doing our One Schoool/One Book event during this time of year for many reasons. The themes in the book are great to discuss with kids during the Holidays. Empathy, helping others, friendship, and kindness are just a few of the themes. It also is an opportunity to take 15-20 minutes as a family and read. Take this time! YOU DESERVE IT! Take some time to read with the kids without fighting, arguing, etc. Cuddle up and get lost in the book. I am telling you, I read this book 5 years ago and is has stuck with me! It is good (adults, you will like it!)
In the book, the topic of hunger comes up. During this crazy time in History, we thought we should honor this theme. We are hosting a Can Food Drive from November 4-November 18. Let's see how many barrels we can fill of food!
The Crenshaw books are here! Families will pick them up on Wednesday, 11/4 and Thursday, 11/12 during the regular supply pick up times. There will also be a kit of supplies for the activities for you to pick up as well.
Don't forget Daylight saving time ends Saturday night.
XO, Mrs. Todd
