Theorems
Side-Splitter Theorem
If lines are || to one side of a triangle and intersects of the two sides, it divides then those side even.Corollary To Theorem
If there is 3 lines are || that intersect two transversals, then the segments intercepted on the transversals are proportional
a/b=c/d
Triangle-Angle-Bisector Theorem
Is a ray bisects of a angle of a triangle , then it divides the opposite side into two segments which are even to the other two side of the triangle.
Example: 1
Using 1st theorem Side-Splitter
Solving for x.
- Side-splitter theorem
- Substitute
- Solve for x
X=3
Example:2
Using 3rd theorem Triangle- Angle-Bisector
Finding the value of x.
- Triangle-Angle-Biscector
- Substitute
- Cross-Product Property
- Solve for x
