The Community Family Learning Center (CFLC) is a community family outreach resource library designed to support parent/caregivers and educators in early childhood . The CFLC Resource Library is located at KidsPlay Children's Museum in Torrington.

Free backpacks will be available for families in need of additional school support. See more information about backpacks below.

Meet the Community Family Learning Center Librarians
CFLC Coordinator, Educator, & Resource Librarian
Paula has worked for Torrington Public Schools since 2011 as an educator, coordinator, and librarian for the Community Family Learning Center located at KidsPlay Children's Museum. Paula loves to read and loves to help families find books and resources that will be helpful to them. Prior to working for TPS, Paula was a K & 1 classroom teacher and Literacy Specialist. Currently Paula works with incoming kindergarten children and families for Torrington Public Schools by connecting families to the schools and community providers. She supports the kindergarten registration process by coordinating programs such as the Kindergarten Fair, Meet & Greet at KidsPlay and more! Please feel free to contact Paula with any questions or for educational support.

Kimmie Stack
CFLC Intern
Kimmie is our new CFLC intern for this Summer. She is currently working on her Master in Library Science and Library Media Specialist Certification at Southern Connecticut State University. Prior to that, she earned an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education at Northwestern Connecticut Community College and a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from UCONN. She currently works at the Beardsley Library in Winsted, CT as a teen librarian and public service coordinator. During her free time, she likes to read, travel, going to baseball games, and she is currently planning her wedding for this fall. She is excited about this opportunity to work and learn from the CFLC team.
