Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies are the classic American cookie. They were "invented" in 1930, by Ruth Graves Wakefield. She was making Chocolate cookies, and ran out of chocolate powder. She chopped up a Nestle chocolate bar, and put the chunks in the batter instead, thinking that the chocolate would melt into the cookie. Needless to say, the chocolate did NOT melt, and thus the Chocolate Chip Cookie was born.

There are MANY different recipes you can use to make chocolate chip cookies. My personal favorite is the Original Nestle Tollhouse Cookie recipe (the link below), but if you prefer to try something else, like the video, it will be VERY good as well!!
