What Does Your Social Media Activity Say About You?
What do you reveal about yourself through your social media accounts? Colleges might review your social media posts, particularly if they plan to award you scholarship funds. Consider the following, and register for CSA #25 to learn more on this important topics.
Every day, whether we want to or not, most of us contribute to a growing portrait of who we are online; a portrait that is probably more public than most of us assume. So no matter what you do online, it's important that you know what kind of trail you're leaving, and what the possible effects can be. Your digital footprint is not only formed by what you post, but also what others put online about you. Attend CSA #25 on November 17th to learn ways that you can manage your digital footprint to make the best impression online.
· Review Honor Codes at the colleges to which you submit applications
· Remember that colleges admit students to a community
· Google search yourself
· Don’t be afraid to show your personality, but consider your audience
· Watch posts from friends, or consider not allowing others to post on your sites
· Be careful what you follow and like
The Scholarship Search Begins Now
Earning scholarship dollars can help cover the cost of college. Universities, non-profit organizations, private foundations, and individuals offer students the opportunity to compete for scholarships based on merit, academic major, and other criteria. Join us on November 11th for CSA #23 Scholarships & Seeking Additional Funding for your College Education. This academy will help students to recognize legitimate funding sources.

Residency Determination Service
Students who apply to North Carolina public, private, or community college are required to complete the NC Residency Determination Interview. Seniors who have not completed this process should do so immediately. Ask you senior advisor for assistance if you are uncertain how to begin. Cultural Awareness Scholarship Winner
Parents can monitor their senior’s Crosby Scholars student portal, view announcements and events, and confirm if their senior has fulfilled each program requirement by logging into their parent portal. If you need assistance accessing your parent portal, call our office at 336.725.5371.
Only students who complete the Crosby Scholars Senior Program are eligible to apply for Last Dollar Grants and Crosby scholarships.
