Logos
Golden State Warriors
Identity
The Golden State Warriors are one of only three charter members of the NBA still in Existence. Throughout the years the warriors have boasted 18 hall of Famers. Recently the Golden State Warriors one the NBA championship in 2015. The team is on the rise as their record is 68-7 and 36-0 at home.
Name
The Warriors were founded in 1946 as the Philadelphia Warriors, a charter member of the Basketball Association of America. They were owned by Peter A. Tyrrell who named the team after an early professional team in the city. In 1962, Franklin Mieuli purchased the majority shares of the team and relocated the franchise to the San Francisco Bay Area, renaming them the San Francisco Warriors.
Colors
The Golden State Warriors were originally based out of Philadelphia and called the Philadelphia Warriors. Their original logo, which lasted from 1946 to 1951 featured a Native American cartoon figure dribbling a yellow basketball. The Philadelphia Warriors early uniforms featured a combination of white, blue, red and gold, with the home uniforms having a drop shadow feature while the roads were simply blue jerseys and pants with gold lettering. In 2010, the team didn’t quite “throwback” to their “The City” uniforms, instead introducing a wonderful new look based on that old classic. Instead of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Warriors upgraded their logo to represent the new Bay Bridge span.
Brand Makeover
The Philadelphia Warriors were bought by Franklin Mieuli in 1962 and he relocated the warriors to the San Francisco bay area. When they moved to San Francisco they obviously had to change the name on their jersey from Philadelphia to Warriors. The warriors have also worn jerseys that say "The City" on them.

Iowa State Cyclones
Identity
The Iowa State Cyclones are known for their good coaches and big wins. They also play in Hilton Coliseum which is known to have "Hilton Magic"
Name
The "Cyclones" name dates back to 1895. That year, Iowa suffered an unusually high number of devastating cyclones. So they got the nickname "Cyclones" and it stuck.
Brand Makeover
I think the cyclones changed their logos to make things more interesting. They have had a total of sixteen different logo changes. They might change their logo so much to try and stay up to date.

San Francisco 49ers
Identity
The 49ers are usually known for being a tough and pretty good football team.
Name
The name "49ers" comes from the prospectors who arrived in Northern California in the 1849 gold rush. The team was founded in 1946 as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and joined the NFL in 1949 when the leagues merged.
Colors
The original 49ers logo was a mustached 49er gold miner from the 1849 California Gold Rush, dressed in plaid pants and a red shirt, jumping in midair with his hat falling off, and firing pistols in each hand: one nearly shooting his foot, and the other pistol forming the word "Forty-Niners" from its smoke
Brand Makeover
The 49ers probably changed their logo to make it more modern.
