Viking VIP Recognition

New to Marie Murphy this year is the Viking VIP program. Viking VIP serves as an opportunity for students to be recognized by teachers for demonstrating various characteristics of our portrait of a graduate. If your student is selected for this recognition you will receive an emailed certificate and note from the office to show our appreciation and thanks.

It is a pleasure to work with your students each day and partner with them to grow and develop through our mission of inspiring diversity, cultivating academic growth, and nurturing diversity.

Meet the Principal

On November 9th from 8:15-8:45am I will host a "Meet the Principal" Zoom for parents. I will give a brief update of events at Marie Murphy and then take questions from parents. This is simply a time for us to connect and check-in. If you would like to attend this Zoom please complete this form to receive the Zoom link prior to the meeting.

Intercultural Dinner & Talent Show

Get ready for our beloved Intercultural dinner and talent show event on November 18, 2022 at 6pm at Marie Murphy! This event is an ALL District PTC Community Building Event. It is making a reappearance after the Covid hiatus. We invite you to an event where all of the cultures of Avoca are welcome to reconnect and celebrate. We are looking for a lunch supervisor to work 2 days a week at Marie Murphy. If you have considered supporting our lunch program please consider this opportunity and contact Principal Ryan.

Help us celebrate Veteran's Day!

All Avoca West staff, students, and families are also invited to contribute to a showcase of the Veterans in Our Lives at Marie Murphy. Below, you'll find a link to the "MM Veteran's Day -- Student Family Photos" google slide deck. This is your chance to add pictures and names of your veterans to our school community slideshow. This will be shown in our front hall display and during the Veteran's Day breakfast. Please:
