THE PATRIOT PARENT CONNECTION

2022-2023:Twenty Ninth Edition - Week of March 13, 2023

Dear Liberty Families,

It's hard to believe that we are already three quarters of the way through the school year! We will begin our Q4 rotation this Thursday, hence we have a slightly different schedule for the week so that students can go to both of their quarter four Connections classes on Thursday. You can view your student's Q4 schedule online in Parent Portal; students will also receive paper copies this week.

We encourage all of our Patriots to finish strong and are here to partner with you as we work together to cross the finish line at the end of May.

Sincerely,

Amanda Thrower

Principal

P.S. This Friday is Zaxby's Spirit Night. Take a night off of cooking and enjoy Zaxby's while also supporting LMS PTSO!

7TH GRADE NOVEL STUDY

Our 7th grade Language Arts classes will begin reading Peak by Roland Smith at the end of March. While teachers can provide students with a class copy of the novel, some students may want their own copy to annotate during independent reading assignments. Please consider purchasing your student a copy from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or a used bookstore.

8TH GRADE NOVEL STUDY

Our 8th grade Language Arts classes will begin reading Whirligig by Paul Fleischman in March. If students would like the option of having their own personal copy, the novel will be for sale on My Payments Plus for $8.00 while supplies last. Teachers can provide students with a school copy of the novel if they do not wish to purchase a personal copy.
