Bearcat Praises
I have to start by thanking everyone that was involved in preparing our kids for the 3rd - 5th grade students for today's UIL Academics competition. We were able to send over 80 students to Callisburg and that is pretty remarkable. I know how challenging it is to find time for coaching but I do appreciate everyone's efforts and giving our kids this opportunity! Thanks so much to Ms. Nisbett and Mrs. Woodard for helping organize everything during this process!
Thank you so much to our wonderful 5th grade team on looking for opportunities to bring us together as a staff and putting us through the most frustrating, I mean funnest challenge ever! Seriously, I really do appreciate them and how they are always looking for ways to branch out of their grade level and make PPIS truly feel like a family.
Thanks so much to Mr. Corredor, Ms. Montes and Mr. Johnson for working together and having their students perform Christmas carols this week. It was great to see some of our best 6th graders being mentors and then learning along the way.
Thanks to Mrs. Hammons for opening up her classroom and letting us come in to observe her stations at work. I'm not how many people have already commented to me how well her stations are going using the mentor minds material. I appreciate her hard work in trying to find alternate ways to teach her students and prepare them. Her and Mrs. Dillon make a great team and if you haven't had a chance to observe I'm sure they won't mind the visit!
Thanks to Mrs. Howser and Mrs. Shepard for taking the reigns in 3rd grade and becoming an outstanding team. i'm not sure there are many days when I go down the 3rd grade hall and they are not together. They have really done an outstanding job coming in and doing some great things for our kids. They are definitely a dynamic duo!
