A note to Huskie Families...

As you are all well aware by now we are faced with a very unique challenge. The Coronavirus pandemic is beginning to affect our state with the Governor's order to close all public and private schools until Monday, April 6th. Please be assured that Hemlock Elementary and K.C. Ling staff are working diligently to still provide for your child's educational experience in the coming weeks. Today, students in grades 1-4 were given the opportunity to bring home their Chromebooks for virtual learning to continue. They are being encouraged to check their Google Classroom (Grades 2-4) for updates, videos, and activities from their classroom teachers. They will also have access to their e-learning tools, such as Think Central, iXL, Mystery Science, etc.

Of course, your family's safety is the number one priority at Hemlock Public Schools, but we also have a high priority on your child's educational success. Our current focus is to maintain both during this challenge.

On behalf of myself and the Hemlock Elementary & K.C. Ling Staff, we would like to thank you for your cooperation with this and for your outpouring of support as we transition through these uncertain times.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email Mrs. Gensch at gensch@hemlockps.com.

March is Reading Month - A message from PTO

We regret to inform the students of Hemlock and Ling Elementary that this year's Read-A-Thon is canceled. This is due to the extended school closing by the State of Michigan. We encourage all students to keep reading while on this extended break. There is no need to bring forms back in April. All students will be receiving a reading prize when school is back in session. At this time, we have no plans to cancel the Family Dance on April 24th.

Camp Invention is COMING!
