Lancers Homecoming Weekend!
We are the people our parents warned us about.
Technology Support
With all of the technology we have coming our way, know that we are aware of the need to have daily, on-site support for all teachers and staff. It is on our radar and we are close to making it happen.
Grace Under Pressure
If I just had a video camera...Angela Caricati and her student demonstrated an incredible amount of calm, patience and flexibility on Tuesday when three of our classrooms were visited by a group of administrators and superintendents from the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES to see technology in action. Technology, however, was NOT working like it should have during the visit yet the teacher and students worked together, showed resiliency and figured out how to work around the challenge. The visitors were most impressed by how, in the face of adversity, the whole class worked together with this real-life problem.
PYP with the Principal
We will be having these get-togethers. Planning is coming along to make them fun, interactive, with lots of student participation all connected to the PYP. Our first gathering will be October 22. Remaining dates are in the Master Committee or Events Schedule.
Intervention Time
We will be looking at students who scored in the red and yellow in AIMSweb on Monday, during normal Intervention time, in order to get interventions started with students. Thank you to all for making this happen so quickly and efficiently.
Site Based Team Goal 15-16
Identify ways to help students in school who don't have the network of support at home to: practice reading daily, completing homework, or engaging or talking to them about their day. Our SBT will be developing a short online survey for parents to take after they complete parent/teacher conferences in November.
