PRACTICE START DATES AND TIMES

JV & VARSITY - practices begin Monday, August 14th at 7am, Academy

FRESHMAN - practices begin Monday, August 21st at 9am, Academy

MODIFIED - practices begin Wednesday, August 23rd 9am, Evans Field

Grades 9-12 - Parent REMIND 101

Parents with players in grades 9-12: The summer mailing to families contained a Remind 101 for Parents that did not work. If you would like to join Remind 101, please text @cafootball to 81010.

FRANK BAKER FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Registration is now OPEN online for Baker Tackle and Flag Football. Cost is $100 for Tackle (grades 3-6) and $60 for Flag (grades K-4). Siblings pay half price for each additional player after the first registrant. There are two ways to register:

2. OR come on out on Baker Walk-In Registration and Equipment Night on Wed. August 16 from 7-8PM in the Canandaigua Academy Gym to fill out paperwork.


ALL tackle players, whether registering online or in person should come on out August 16 to be fitted for equipment and verify paperwork. There is NO equipment pickup for the Flag football level. Visit http://www.cafootball.org and click on the 'Frank Baker League' tab for more season info.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR BAKER REGISTRATION NIGHT ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16 FROM 6-8PM. Please click here to volunteer: www.volunteersignup.org/TWY4A


NEW THIS YEAR: Emphasis will be placed on volunteering in the football program. Tackle families will be asked to submit a $25 returnable check at Registration Night that will be held until a volunteer position has been carried out for the season. Please come prepared with your calendars on August 16 to sign up for at least one volunteer slot per family for the season.


Baker TACKLE players (grades 3-6) are also eligible to attend Braves Camp during our pre-seasonal camp program week (Aug. 7-10). Click here for more info:

BRAVES CAMP IS THIS WEEK!

All tackle football players grades 3-12 are invited to attend Braves Camp this Monday, August 7 through Thursday, August 10. This is a great week for players to meet as an entire program to start the season off together. Click here for more information and to pre-register:

Friends of CA Football First Annual Friday Night Lights Party

Friday, Aug. 18th, 6pm

1 Fallbrook Park

Canandaigua, NY

Come join us for the Friends of Canandaigua Football's Friday Night Lights party at the Canandaigua Country Club on Friday, August 18th at 6:00pm. Great food provided by Nolan's restaurant, beer and wine tastings, longest drive glow-ball contest and lots of other festivities! You won't want to miss this fun evening lakeside! Tickets are $40.00 per person, and all proceeds go to the Canandaigua Football program! For tickets, you may call or text Friends of Canandaigua Football at (585)-203-0770. We put the FUN in FUNDRAISER this year with commemorative Friday Night Lights T-Shirts!

Modified, Freshman and JV Teams -

Our fantastic tees with the tagline "Turn on the Lights, It's Friday Night" will be our seasonal fundraiser this year. Each player will be asked to sell a minimum of 5 t-shirts at $10 each. Let's fill our BRAND NEW BRAVES FIELD will CA Spirit at our first ever CA Football Friday Night Lights game on September 8 as well as all season long!


These amazing tees will be sold by our players as well as at the Friends of CA Football event on August 18 and during all Merchandise Sales Events (See sales calendar below)...

PARENT MEETINGS and BOOSTER CLUB INVITATION:

Monday, August 7 - parents of ALL players attending Braves Camp are asked to gather in at the top of the stadium bleachers near camp dismissal time (7:15) to highlight important dates this season and fundraiser information.


Tuesday, August 8th - NEXT Booster Club Meeting will be Tuesday August 8 at 7PM in old bleachers of Exhibition Field (upper field). This is our annual meet-and-greet with your booster club officers. We welcome everyone to attend and learn more about CA Football Boosters and volunteering in the program.


Mandatory All-Sports Meeting PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE - Thursday, August 17 at 6:30PM. This annual meeting is conducted by the district's Athletic Department to highlight information regarding all district sports. Breakout parent meetings for Fall Sports teams then take place to follow. Football parents will remain in the auditorium following the district presentation in order to hear a presentation by Coach Welch introducing the team and season expectations as well as Booster officers and upcoming events.

SENIOR PARENTS - we need your baby pictures!

Please send a digital baby picture of your senior football player, cheerleader, or sound member to: lynnnicoletti@yahoo.com no later than August 18 to be placed in the 2017 printed Football Program.
