Interpreter Appreciation Day!
Thank you
I would like to personally thank each and every interpreter who works with our students in Temple ISD. Thank you for your dedication to our students. Thank you for helping them figure out their teachers instructions . Without you our students would not know all the things they have learned in class. They would not be involved in class discussions and projects. Thank you for sharing a true passion for sign language and a respect for the deaf community. We appreciate and love you!

This is my 19th year as an interpreter for TISD. As a CODA, I wanted to give back the experience that my parents gave me to use for the kiddos I work with today.
Elizabeth Gonzales
I have been with TISD for 4 years. I love being an educational interpreter because I get to watch the students grow.
Kristy Reding
I started working for Temple ISD in 1996-1997 as an interpreter. I fell in love with sign language when I did a church camp in VA and they had a 3 day deaf day... the language is just beautiful and to have kids light up when they understand something new... best feeling ever!
DaNita Delgado
This is ending my 4th year as an interpreter. I enjoy helping DHH students learn. It is a gift from God.
Skylar Stice
I have been an educational interpreter for 1 year. I enjoy this job because all deaf and hard of hearing children deserve equal access to language, and I get to be a part of that! I’m blessed to work between English and American Sign Language to bring both languages to life for these bilingual students.
Patrick Sivils
I have been an interpreter here at TISD for less than a year, but have been working in the deaf world for about 3 years. Being an educational interpreter is super rewarding. I am able to have a positive impact with the kiddos.
Velva Randolph
This year was my 20th year working with TISD. I love working with deaf students! They deserve equal access to communication and education, and I am happy to provide that for them.
Emma Suitt
I have been working for 3 years as an educational interpreter. I have always been fascinated with signing. It brings me great joy. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to work with the children. I get so excited excited to see a little one sign.
Darlene Lechuga
I have been interpreting for TISD for 3 years. I love educational interpreting because I love sign language and working with youth, and here I get to do both.
Heather Trojan
I have been with TISD for 4 months. I love being an educational communication aide because I enjoy teaching my student signs and making a difference. I get so excited when my student tells me something without needing help.
Thank you!
Thank you for your dedication to all of our students.
Charlotte Carpenter
I've been interpreting for 23 years with TISD. I enjoy working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
