Canandaigua PTSA
"The Link" - September 2018
ABOUT US...
The Canandaigua Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) believes in making every child's potential a reality by being the premier organization for parent involvement and advocacy. Canandaigua PTSA is a powerful voice for all children, a significant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
The PTSA provides critical financial support for various school activities and resource or equipment needs. It strongly supports the community-wide Character Education, Health & Wellness, and Family Involvement initiatives of our school district.
CHANGES TO OUR NEWSLETTER FORMAT
One will be called "The Advocate" and will be primarily PTSA news on a local, state and national level. The purpose of this newsletter will be to provide information directly related to the PTSA, including, but not limited to, our next meeting or event, volunteer sign-ups, membership drives, advocacy issues, fundraising opportunities and much more.
The second newsletter will be called "The Link" and will be a listing of community or school events as they are shared with us via email. If you or your organization have a meet up, event or activity that you would like promoted through our newsletter, please send all information (PDF or JPG preferred) to Heather Holman at heatherlholman12@gmail.com and it will be added to the most recent newsletter. There are no specific deadlines for these submissions, as information can be added to an electronic newsletter at any time, however advance notice will give your event increased promotional time. Please note that all submissions are subject to approval.
Both newsletters will be posted on the PTSA Facebook & Twitter pages, emailed to PTSA members, as well as forwarded to the principals of each building for inclusion in their newsletters, as timing will allow. We appreciate your participation in linking together the community and the schools. Please do not hesitate to contact me (Heather Holman) directly if you have any questions, concerns, submissions or ideas! Thank you for your patience during this transition.
