Westy Academy Weekly Newsletter

Week of Nov. 8th-12th 2021

A Message From the Principal...

Hello Owls!

This week went by incredibly fast, and we are already 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving Break!

With the holiday season upon us, Westy Academy would like to help give back to our local community. Since there was so much success with our school candy drive, we will be hosting a school wide FOOD DRIVE!

Grand Prize classroom winners will receive a complimentary field trip during the school day, to SKATE CITY!

Stay tuned for details, as the drive will start next week. Mrs. Michelle and the office will be messaging out all the information as things get rolling. We hope to make a positive impact on our community--working together to have empathy for those less fortunate this holiday season.

Aside from this, we took some time to celebrate Perfect Attendance Winners for the months of September and October this week. Similar to our WISE wings incentive and rewards system, students with perfect attendance for the month are placed in a drawing, and two students from each class are selected as monthly winners. Those students are rewarded with a Westy Academy certificate, Westy Academy water bottle, free meal ticket to Panera Bread, and a pizza party with fellow winners. School is SO IMPORTANT and its important to us to promote and encourage attendance all year long.

That's it for this week! Have a great weekend, Owls!

Sincerely,

Mr. Warwick

Trick or Treat Street Was Monstrous!

Wow! What a great evening Trick or Treat Street was last week! Almost every student and their families passed through the haunted halls of Westy Academy, and we handed out a TON of candy! Teachers, students and staff all turned out in awesome costumes, and it was a beautiful evening outside, which allowed for a nice mingling of people in the courtyard after! We hope everyone had as much as fun as we did! Make sure to check out Facebook for more pics of the evening!
