Reminders from Your Teacher
Lost and Found
Please help us return forgotten items by labeling EVERYTHING with your child's name!
Language Arts
Over the break, you can let your child journal about their vacation.
Please remind them to practice stress writing conventions such as:
- spacing
- using lower case letters unless it is the beginning of a sentence or a name
- spelling purple sight words correctly (students may use the word wall as a reference)
- ending punctuation
Math
The emphasis is on modeling these two actions (without symbols at this time)
- Joining sets to get a larger set (addition)
- Separating a set into smaller sets (subtraction)
You can practice this with fun simple story problems. Students especially enjoy stories that are about themselves and their families/friends. This is another great car activity!
Science and Social Studies
In Science, we will observe and describe the weather changes (day to day)
In Social Studies, we will discuss and observe Family Traditions. Below are the directions and a copy of the PDF that you may use. Your teacher will send home a paper copy in your child's PAWS Folder after Thanksgiving along with your child's presentation date.
We look forward to learning about your family traditions!
