  • When you have high blood pressure your blood flows through you arteries at a higher pressure than normal. High blood pressure is also known as hypertension.


  • High blood pressure often has no symptoms. Although when it does people usually have more headaches than normal and have loss of breath.

Foods You Should Eat

  • Leafy greens
  • Berries
  • Potatoes
  • Bananas
  • Oatmeal

Foods You Shouldn't Eat

  • Pickles
  • Salt
  • Red meat
  • Bacon
  • Donuts

Long Term Effects (if untreated)

  • Vision loss
  • Kidney damage
  • Stroke
  • Heart disease
  • Artery damage


  • High blood pressure does not go away but can be treated to prevent long term complications.
