Intent Forms for CPS Reopening
Last week all parents/guardians should have received an email and/or text from CPS with an intent form for each child enrolled. On this intent form, you will indicate if you would like to continue with remote learning, or opt-in to in-person instruction that is scheduled to begin in either January or February. Copied below is information shared last week from CPS where you can learn more about the reopening plans. If you did not receive an intent form for your child, please complete this form instead by 3:00PM on Monday 12/7/20 so that our clerks will have time to note your selection in the Aspen student information system on your behalf: Boone Intent to Return Form
Message sent last week from CPS:
Let us know if you intend to send your child back to school in the new year by Monday, December 7, 2020. We intend to welcome Pre-K students back into the building on 1/11/21, and K-8 students back into the building on 2/1/21. To help us better understand how many students are planning to return to in-person learning after winter break, please complete the Intent Form we’ve emailed for each eligible child in your family.
Please note that a separate form was sent to the primary contact listed in Aspen for each child. Please complete a form for each child who qualifies for this option. If you do not complete this form by the deadline of 12/7/20, your child will continue to participate in online instruction. Parent Portal
Parent Portal gives parents the ability to view students' grades in real time. If you are setting up your Parent Portal account for the first time, please visit the First Time Parent Portal Set-Up link. This is a one-time step and not necessary after every school year. Once you receive your email from Aspen to help set up your username and password, you can access Parent Portal at Aspen Parent Portal.
If you already have a Parent Portal account, but are running into technical issues (forgot password, locked out, etc), please email Boone's tech coordinator Patrick Chi (ptchi@cps.edu) so he can reset your account. Once your account is reset, you should receive an email from Aspen with further instructions. Additional information provided by the district can be found at this link.
