Waiters and Waitresses
In restaurants in France waiters and waitresses don't just need to be able to surve food, but also know about the foods and wine that they serve, and they take great pride in doing that. In France to be polite you would call the waiter such as Monsieur to a waiter, and Madame or Mademoiselle to a waitress.
In France if the food was bad people would say C'est pas terrible, or if it is good they would say C'est pas mauvais.
In France in their cafes and restaurants their is a 15% tip included in the bill for the waiter or waitresses. If you think the service was excellent they you could give more.
