Picture Retake Day - November 19
If your student did not have the opportunity to have their photo taken on October 1st, or if you were not satisfied with how their school photo turned out, this is your chance for a retake.
For those not satisfied with their originial photos:
Simply send your child's photo packet back to school. We will hold it for you until photo day and then send them for retakes.
For those who have not had their photo taken:
You can either: pick up a photo packet from the school office, or
- Use the button below to go to Dorianstudio.com.
- Search for your school
- Select the order button from the appropriate photo day
- Complete your transaction
Please notify your child's teacher through ParentSquare if you want your child photographed for retakes. Unlike our regular photo day, your child will only be photographed if we know you want them to.

IN-DISTRICT STUDENT TRANSFER APPLICATIONS OPEN NOVEMBER 1-30
Students who want to attend a school other than their assigned school may apply for an in-district transfer (IDT) between November 1–30, 2021. This includes elementary, middle, high school and students who would like to transfer to the EDGE online program.
If your student already has an approved IDT, you do not need to fill out the application.
There is no guarantee a transfer request will be approved. Students attending school on an IDT are not eligible for bus transportation. IDT applications received after November 30, 2021, will not be considered.
In-district transfer request forms can be picked up at your student’s assigned school. They will also be posted on the Student Transfers page on November 1. The webpage will also include instructions on how to turn in the forms via email, snail mail.
It is preferred that families fill out the forms and drop them off at their assigned schools.

Annual Rascal Run
The Rascal Run is the biggest and most important fundraiser of the year, contributing to more than half the annual PTC budget. This money goes toward supporting teacher classroom needs, contributing to school spirit and building community with field trips, families engagement nights, and much more!

Get to know your PTC!
Every project, event and program the PTC does, only happens because of volunteers. We need your help to make these things happen. Until December volunteer opportunities are limited, but we would love to hear from you if you are willing to volunteer when things open back up.
Volunteering can be as much or as little as you want, in whatever you are interested in. You can come a little early and help set-up an event, or you could lead a whole new program, there is something for everyone.
If you are interested feel free to email us admin@salemheightsptc.org, visit our website for more info, find us on Facebook, or join our next virtual meeting November 10th 6:00pm:

At its meeting Tuesday night, the Salem-Keizer Public Schools Board of Directors voted 4-2 to approve a resolution recognizing the board and district’s commitment to equity and anti-racism. One board director was absent. It is the first time a resolution of its kind was introduced in SKPS.
