Cullman City Schools
The Week in Review - November 9, 2018
Thank You Veterans!
What a wonderful program presented by WES 5th grade students and teachers, Mrs. Keenan Fowlkes, our Student Council members and others who continue to honor the brave men and women. WES seeks to create an environment where these individuals are remembered and honored every day, not just on Veterans Day.
Honoring Our Veterans
CHS hosted a wonderful Veterans Day celebration this week. The program was a tribute to all of those who have served, and are serving, this great country.
CCPS Thanks Our Veterans
CCPS hosted Veterans on Thursday to recognize and honor them for their service. Thank you, Veterans!
Big Shoes (and Coats) To Fill
Thanks to a special veteran, the CCPS Elephant Class got to explore Air Force uniforms, meals, hats, and boots this week! Happy Veterans Day to all of those who have served in the United States military.
Service Above Self
The EES family recognized and honored those men and women who have given so much to protect our freedom! Thank you Veterans!
Engaged
When students are so engaged that they don't even know that the principal has entered the room, you know things are going right. These EES students didn't even take the time to look up when Mr. Wiggins entered their class!
Bearcat Dance Shines in First Competion
The members of the Bearcat Dance Team earned a 2nd place finish in the jazz division and 3rd place in the hip hop division of their very first competition! Congratulations!
Career Awareness
CMS students attended the Career Awareness Fair held at WSCC Thursday. The students had opportunities to investigate numerous career possibilities.
Wrapping Up Bullying Prevention Month
EES students completed a number of exciting and important activities during October's Bullying Prevention campaign. Mrs. Hembree, Mrs. Wood, and Victim Services of Cullman were just a few of those working together to educate our students about how to stop bullying.
CHS Theatre Headed to State Trumbauer
With numerous award winning performances at the district competition, the CHS Theatre department wrapped up a spot in the State Trumbauer competition. We are so excited to see how these talented individuals perform at the next level! Go Bearcats!
Joining Together to Learn
Third grade students from EES and WES enjoyed learning about the three R’s for protecting our environment at Birmingham Southern’s Environmental Center.
Gatsby Extravaganza
CHS AP Language Arts classes had their first "Gatsby" Extravaganza this week. Great fun!
