CCA School District News & Updates
SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY AUGUST 24
STUDENT ONLINE REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED
All students, including virtual choice, must register for school. To help ensure that schools, students, transportation and staff are well prepared for the first day of school, parents are encouraged to register their child or children online BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS. CLICK HERE for the more information on the online registration process.
Students will not be able to participate in school-sponsored activities or receive a school-issued device until registration is complete.
REVISED SCHOOL CALENDAR
MITIGATION AND LIMIT TO SPECTATORS FOR FALL ACTIVITIES
The decision was not easy but in order to ensure our student athletes are given a fair chance to play this fall, spectators will be limited. This is our best compromise of maintaining social distancing while allowing a relatively large number of spectators. We discussed everything from parents only, to requiring masks and not restricting spectators. The district has worked diligently to get recommended safety measures in place for the school day i.e. cohorts, social distancing, morning and afternoon sessions, limiting class sizes, virtual choice and more.
MICHELLE EMMEL APPOINTED TO THE SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The CCA School Board of Education appointed Michelle Emmel to District 3 at the August 12 board meeting. The school board had three applications to consider for District 3. Michelle replaces Jeff Tackaberry after his resignation from the school board in July.

CCA Community Schools is always looking for qualified substitute teachers to serve our students when our teachers need to be absent. With Governor Kim Reynolds' new proclamation, there is now increased flexibility in the use of substitute teachers during the disaster emergency period.
