Sneak Peek of the Week
First week PK 3.3
We have already reached the end of our first week together in PK3.3 and what a busy time it has been!
We began the week asking the question "What names do we need to know at school?". In circle time we talked about how our names are different and have different sounds. We sang songs to help us learn each others names, found our names on our cubbies and on our morning attendance chart. We learned the names of the different interest centers in the classroom and we learned the names of our teachers! Together, we watched the story of Ananai and his six sons. They had very interesting names!
We did a walk around the classroom, learning each of the interest areas names, naming the objects we can find in each center. We also had lots of fun trying to find the perfect center for each toy we had in a box of lost items.
In the art center we worked on our fun materials collage. Children had construction paper, buttons, yarn, wiggly eyes, crayons, scissors and glue to make their creative collages.
Your children have done so well this week, you should be very proud of them. I know we are!
If you have any questions, however big or small please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Have a great weekend everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMUEL!
Humpty Dumpty
We spent a lot of time talking about Humpy Dumpty this week. How he has such an interesting name and how they are all different.
We played a game called Hello Friend where we practiced finding our name.
