Counselor Connection

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”

-Winston Churchill

If you are interested in becoming a mentor to a current Hobby student, please contact Natalie Stridde, Head Counselor, by phone (210-397-7635) or by email (Natalie.Stridde@nisd.net).

Counselors will be in the classrooms for the next three Fridays to discuss GRIT, what it means, what it looks like, how grit has helped in the past, and in what ways grit can help in the future. We encourage you to use this language at home, on the football field, on the volleyball court, during piano practice, during homework time, etc.

Schedule change deadline for any change of mind elective changes is Friday, September 10. Students may realize a few weeks in that they are no longer interested in the elective they chose. However, they can show grit by finishing the year strong with the class they committed to taking.
