NEEF Big Give

Thursday, Sep. 22nd, 6pm to Friday, Sep. 23rd, 11:45pm

This is an online event.

Every year NEISD participates in the North East Education Foundation "Big Give" event. These events are designed to provide additional funds for school projects that may not otherwise happen. This year, ETA's focus will be in redoing the school hallway to create an updated space for students that is conducive to working and studying. Students in our program often take on heavy course loads and spend more time in the halls than students of a traditional campus working on school projects and assignments. We would like to redo these spaces to make them student centered and well designed for this work.

The way the big give works, is that parent and donors make online donations for to a specific school for their listed purpose. At certain times on Thursday and Friday there are "match minutes" which is time donations receive extra funding if they meet the criteria. The link for these match times will be below, and if you follow the twitter (@etaneisd) you will get reminders for important match times and rules. For example, Thursday starting at 6:09 PM, all donations of $100 (or less) will be matched dollar for dollar, up to a total of $10,000 of matching. Friday at 8:09 AM, 12:09 PM, 3:09 PM, 4:09 PM, and 5:09 PM are the same rules however different matching donors. These times are when we get the largest bonus for donations as donations are effectively doubled. If anyone was considering donating more than $100, please consider breaking it into smaller donations during these match times to effectively double the entire donation.

SETA Launch

Next year, incoming freshmen and 6th graders will be the first groups admitted to the Space and Engineering Technologies Academy. SETA will have four pathways for students - Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, and Manufacturing. Additional information about SETA will be released throughout the next few months. For now, the Instagram and twitter accounts have been created and can be followed. The handle is @SETANEISD
