SMCS Mission
Preparing and inspiring students to lead meaningful lives, rooted in the teachings of Christ and our Catholic tradition.
Greetings from the Principal
Dear SMCS families,
Today was a hot day but we found fun ways to stay cool! It was a blessing to be in the church for our first Mass together. Today we learned a little about St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Fr. Michael gave us all a blessing with a first class relic from St. Mother Teresa, and then students were able to pray in front of the relic on their way out of the church.
This Friday is our System-Wide Mass at the High School campus. Please help your child come to school this Friday with the best version of their uniform possible. We should all feel our very best when we represent our SM Elementary campus this Friday!
This September our entire diocese is shifting from the MAP test from NWEA to the STAR test from Renaissance Learning. When we have more details about testing dates, we will let our families know. This will not impact 3k and 4K students.
Morning drop off: Please feel free to join your student in the gym for our morning announcements each day. We love to see our families connecting with each other!
Afternoon pick up: Currently, the spaces out front of the school building are marked as Handicapped Parking Spaces Only. The parish, the school and the local authorities are working together to come up with a solution that will benefit everyone. In the meantime, please be sure to leave one or two spaces open for our handicapped community members who are picking up their students in the afternoon. Patience and grace are requested from everyone at this time. Please know that we are actively working on the situation.
