The Process Of Photosynthesis
By: Sergio Ortega Period 5
What is photosynthesis?
Photosynthesis is a process from plants that can make oxygen for people and animals to breath.
Carbon dioxide + Water + Radiant Energy ------> Glucose + Oxygen
CO2 + H2O + radiant energy ----> C6H12O6 + O2
Photosynthesis is a process that gives you oxygen to breath and it gives plants food. Food that plants have is called glucose. Glucose is another word for sugar. The way that photosynthesis works is that carbon dioxide enters through a part of the plant called the stomata. The stomata are little holes in the leaves that allow gas exchange. after the photosynthesis process is finished then oxygen exits through the stomata. Radiant energy is involved in this process because the leaves of a plant absorbs the energy of the sunlight.
