As a reminder:
Please do your best to not allow the Chromebook battery to die. The battery being left "depleted/uncharged" for a period of time could cause the Chromebook not to power back up.

Goal Setting
It's time to begin thinking about the steps to take to prepare students to lead their student-led conferences with parents. Along with doing the important work of getting students excited and motivated to learn, helping students set hopes, dreams, and goals:
- holds students accountable for their behaviors
- encourages students to take ownership of the steps they need to achieve their goals
- supports students as they see the progress of their efforts
- motivates students to keep going in moments where they hit a roadblock or a challenge
- teaches students how to build off their weaknesses in order to become successful
- reminds students of how their goals are connected to both the classroom and school rules

5 Strategies for Cultivating Belonging in the Classroom
Many people compliment Trantwood on proving a caring environment for students. I often hear the word "family" used, which is a true compliment. In the early weeks of the school year, we can never take for granted the importance of our students feeling they belong. In a world that does not yet fully welcome everyone, schools can reinforce existing divisions or provide students a safe community that feels like a second home.
